Filing a Complaint

Do you reside in a district with an "Indian" Mascot, Logo, or Nickname?  Interested in filing a complaint with the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction?  What's the process?

A school district resident can file a complaint regarding the use of the district's race-based nickname, logo, or mascot to the State Superintendent of Public Instruction.

If you are a potential complainant residing in a district with a race-based nickname, logo, or mascot, assistance is available.  Consultants from the Wisconsin Indian Education Association's "Indian" Mascot and Logo Task Force are ready to work with you. They are available free of change and can assist with all aspects of the complaint process.
